Notice to Texas and Louisiana Licensed Investigators

 

Greetings

In Reference to Continuing Education

 

Effective December 31, 2006, Texas Investigators are required by Private Security Bureau rules to complete 18 hours of continuing education instruction, including 1 hour of Ethics and 2 hours on Administration of Private Security Bureau Rules. Proof of completing the required courses must be submitted to the Bureau 30 days prior to the expiration of Private Investigator Licenses. Licensed Louisiana Investigators are required to complete 8 clock hours of continuing education instruction in a classroom setting annually.

 

David M. Grove and the Texas Private Investigation Institute have been approved by the Private Security Bureau and the Louisiana Board of Private Investigator Examiners to provide continuing education courses that meet the requirements of Texas and Louisiana regulators. Such approvals were granted by the Private Security Bureau December 12, 1997, and by Charlene Mora of the Louisiana Board of Private Investigator Examiners March 15, 2002.

 

The course titles and 2012 Schedule are posted below. Courses are held the 2nd Saturday of each month at 3834 Brook Garden Lane, Katy, Texas 77449 . Fees are $12.50 per credit hour and may be paid by any major credit card. Enrollment is limited to 8 attendees. Advance payment is required to reserve seating. Refreshments and lunches are hosted by the Texas Private Investigation Institiute. Call 713-222-0494 or 800-393-4641 for additional information.
